2019 LibertyFest Parade Invitation
Help us Celebrate
Theme: The ‘Happy Days’ of the 1950s”
The City of Franklin would like to invite your organization to join in our LibertyFest Parade held
during our annual 4th of July Festivities Week, sponsored by Joy Global Foundation/Komatsu
Mining Corp. We encourage your group to embrace the 50s so bring out your “poodle skirts,”
“hula hoops,” “Elvis persona,” “classic cars,” make a float, decorate a vehicle, walk, dance,
march, or ride as we entertain our community!
For this year’s Parade Marshal, we will honor the late Penny Minnick, a life-long resident whose
love of animals and “all things Franklin” inspired so many. Penny, who passed away last year
during our 4th of July festivities, will be represented by her loving husband, Cliff.
